In this session, James Thorne of the Pro Football Academy takes a group of four players through two practices that focus on decision-making and execution in 2v1 situations, and then their technique when passing and receiving. The first practice sees two attackers combine to beat a first defender whose movements are restricted, and then a second defender before attempting to score in a mini-goal or, as a variation, dribble through flat markers. The second practice is a passing sequence played in a small area with three mannequins and a goal, with a focus on ball speed, body shape, back-foot receiving and breaking lines.
