Arsenal academy performance coach James Bevan leads this excellent ‘Most Efficient Mover’ warm-up and activation with Arsenal’s under-12s, filmed exclusively for Coaches’ Voice.

‘Most Efficient Mover’ is one of the Arsenal academy’s pillars of being an ‘Effective Team Player’, alongside their ‘Lifelong Learner’ and ‘Champion Mentality’ pillars. This warm-up is designed to improve players’ range of movement and flexibility, as well as prepare them for a second training session of the day, which will include five high-intensity practices.

Alongside under-12s head coach Kieron Lewis, academy performance psychologist Adam Bracey, under-12 to under-14 assistant coach, Jack Kennedy and academy coaches Aaron Cato and Darren Hawks, Bevan leads players through nine different activities, designed to work on their balance, strength and co-ordination. The session includes multi-sport activities as well as a series of squats, jumps and teamwork exercises. All led by a coach who transmits energy, fun and knowledge in a warm-up that is thoroughly enjoyed by the children. We hope you enjoy it, too!
