In this coaching course filmed exclusively for CV Academy, QPR Under-18 lead coach Micah Hyde takes a group of professional development phase players through a series of practices designed to develop their ability to play through midfield.

The session starts with two technical warm-ups and progresses into three practices that train ball control, passing and receiving skills, ball retention and midfield rotations. Hyde and QPR term the middle of the pitch ‘the blue’ – the session is aimed at encouraging his players to work the ball to midfielders in this zone and then play forward from there.
